In lieu of a game for the firsts and while waiting for the seconds to finish, a selection of the firsts took club and beer in hand and played the Bruntsfield Links golf course. As i left, lefty Pete 'i'm playing kak handed' Maksimczyk had saved himself from last place.
Current scores:
Gav 'bandit' Wilson 12 points Neil 'clearly fluked second' Granger 10 points Jonathan 'i really can't play but led for a while' Leburn 9 points Pete 8 points Matt 'only here to carry the beer' Loeffen 8 points (for refuelling the beer) Sam 'the self proclaimed pre-tournament favourite' Peachey 3 points
More banter to follow no doubt!

The contest was well contested over the closing holes, despite the flagsticks being removed by some bloke.
Matt became the flag stick which increased the standard somewhat as everyone wanted to try and hit him...
Gav ' Bandit' Wilson won at a canter...and although I know it was hotly contested for second between myself and the other 2 I was too drunk at the time to remember who actually finished where...Jonathan ' Choppy, Joppy...' Leburn I think finished last...but we all beat you chippy so you will have to do the forefit next week....
The real winner on the day was the game of cricket....which unfortunately wasnt played despite the delightful sunshine

I can't believe Sam got past my score! The majority of the parked cars were in trouble at one stage or another! That and the tramps at the 5th...
Definite handicapping system to be implemented next time to stop Wilson winning!

The only reason why pete actually improved was because he decided to use the putter, Gav 'Bandit' Wilson made the appropriate comment on people who tee off with a putter but unfortunately it cannot be mentioned for the sake of censorship. I must say that the beer carrier and replacement pin had a superb round, flawless some would say.
